CADA Automobile Finance Branch: Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Aiming to Establish the Internet of Vehicles Standard System in 2025
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued an exposure draft on the 21st date to publicly solicit public opinions on the Guideline for the Construction of Network Security Standard System for Internet of Vehicles(Intelligent Connected Vehicles).
The exposure draft mentions that a standard system framework will be established based on the needs of Internet of Vehicles terminal and facility security, networked communication security, data security, application service security, security assurance and support, etc. The key standardization areas and directions include six categories: general and basic common standard, terminal and facility security standard, network communications security standard, data security standard, application service security standard and security assurance and support standard.
The exposure draft clarifies the relevant construction goals. By the end of 2023, a network security standard system for the Internet of Vehicles (Intelligent Connected Vehicles) will be initially established, focusing on the researches on key industrial and national standards for basic commonality, terminal and facility security, networked communication security, data security, application service security, security assurance and support, etc., and more than 50 key and urgently needed safety standards will be revised. By 2025, a relatively complete Internet of Vehicles (Intelligent Connected Vehicles) network security standard system will be formed, more than 100 key standards will be completed, the coverage of the standards in subdivided areas will be improved, standard service capabilities will be strengthened, standard application levels will be improved, and the safety development on Internet of Vehicles will be supported.
The exposure draft also puts forward the basic principles on the network security standard system for the Internet of Vehicles, including focusing on related industry chain entities such as vehicle and key equipment, cloud service platform, automotive electronic component, information communication and network security and strengthening the exchange and cooperation during the standard development.
The Internet of Vehicles, as an emerging industrial ecology that deeply integrates automobiles, electronics, and information and communications, has become an important driving force for promoting high-quality development of manufacturing, accelerating economic transformation, and building a new development pattern. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that the current network security requirements for the Internet of Vehicles are more diverse and complex, and the security risks in each link of "people- vehicle -road -network -cloud" are more prominent, so it is urgent to accelerate the establishment and improvement of the network security guarantee system for the Internet of Vehicles.
