China Capital Logistics: "The climate has changed." We can usher in the new future through the open cooperation.
Zhu Liguang, the Deputy General Manager of Beijing BAIC ROCAR Automobile Service Trading Co., Ltd. and General Manager of China Capital Logistics Co., Ltd., was invited to attend the summit, and made in-depth exchange and discussion with leaders of well-known enterprises such as Anji Logistics, CDC International Logistics, Schaeffler China, Valeo China and Wuling Automobile Industry regarding the digital and green development of the parts supply chain, opportunities and challenges under the dual-carbon goal, the safety and stability of the international supply chain, the coordinated development of main engine plants and parts suppliers, and the quality, efficiency improvement and costs reduction of parts logistics.
Zhu Liguang pointed out that the current automobile logistics companies were not facing the phenomenon that "the weather has changed" but the issue that "the climate has changed".
First of all, the arrival of the pandemic has brought a huge challenge to the logistics industry. The logistics industry has withstood the test of this sudden pandemic. After the most difficult stage of fighting the pandemic, the government and the general public have a new understanding for the importance of logistics. The value of logistics has been reflected as never before, and the value of the logistics industry will continue to be brought into play in the future automotive manufacturing supply chain.
At present, although China has achieved remarkable results in the control of the pandemic, the foreign pandemic has repeatedly warned us that the pandemic is not over. The control of the international pandemic will affect the development of the entire international market and bring about uncertainty for the security and stable development of the global supply chain.
The problem of “lack of chips in automobile enterprises” that is widely concerned by society at present is a manifestation of the uncertainty of the global supply chain, and the chip problem is difficult to be quickly alleviated. This problem will have an impact on the operation of the entire automotive industry chain. In the future, under the influence of the global economic uncertainty, we may also encounter other problems that have an impact on the changes in the supply chain demand, and upstream and downstream enterprises in the automotive industry must be prepared to deal with similar uncertainties.
Secondly, regarding the impact on the development of new energy vehicles generally concerned in the industry, Zhu Liguang holds that the energy conservation and emission reduction are the common goals of global economic development for a long time in the future. New energy vehicles are the future development trend of the automotive industry. The rise of new energy vehicles is both a challenge and an opportunity for auto parts suppliers and auto logistics enterprises.
With the development of new materials and new casting processes for new energy auto parts, traditional auto parts enterprises can only win out by meeting new demands; auto logistics enterprises also need to make the in-depth study on the demand difference between the new energy vehicles and the traditional automobile supply chain so as to provide the new energy automobile supply chain with high-quality logistics services that meet the needs.
Finally, Zhu Liguang mentioned the impact of the open share proportion policy. With the implementation of the open share proportion policy, the original automobile logistics market will face certain impacts. At the same time, the new energy vehicle, as a new force in the automobile industry, will open up a new field for the automobile logistics market. Through exchanges with representative enterprises of new forces such as NIO, XPENG Motors, Lixiang and Xiaomi that have taken root in or plan to enter the field of new energy vehicles, we can see that they have high requirements for logistics security.
In addition, new forces entering the automobile logistics market under the support of capital will surely bring about an upgrade of competition in the automobile logistics market. When there is capital available, traditional automobile logistics enterprises need to consider how to use their existing advantages, flow, experience and capabilities to create a moat of competition.
The emergence of new market entities, explosion of new market demand, entry of new competitors and the uncertainties of the domestic and foreign environment...all indicate that the entire automotive industry is not facing simple "weather change" but "climate change." The upstream and downstream of the entire automotive logistics industry chain can only adapt to the "new climate" and welcome a new future by maintaining an open and cooperative attitude.
