China Capital Star Logistics Combated the Pandemic and Ensured Stability to Fully Guarantee Shipment for Volvo Project

Since the beginning of this year, the pandemic has broke out at many places in China sporadically, and the pandemic situation has become severe. More than a month ago, Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, where the China Capital Star Logistics Daqing Volvo project is located, was seriously affected by the pandemic, and the pressure on transportation capacity to enter and exit increased dramatically, and the whole vehicle shipment faced severe challenges.

When the pandemic suddenly hit, the China Capital Star Logistics Volvo project team immediately customized the shipment plan according to the previous service experience of multiple brands and the actual situation of Volvo, adjusted the transportation loading mode, and vehicles entered and exited Daqing in a closed-loop "contactless" mode. The cabs of the vehicles entering Daqing were sealed, and the driver did not get off the vehicles during the whole process. The driver was isolated from the environment of the factory and the loading was made by the driver in the factory.

In order to cope with the changing situation at any time, the project team established a WeChat instant communication group to kept in touch with the driver of carrier vehicle and implemented the government's pandemic prevention and control policies and the factory's entry requirements in advance to give full play to the transport capacity. Meanwhile, the WeChat group was used to coordinate nucleic acid detection, distribution of materials, policy communication, loading operation division, etc., to promote work and care for life.

Cui Yang, the Project Manager of Daqing Volvo, is a miniature of this project team. It has been more than a month since the project team entered the factory on September 14. Because the project team members were mostly isolated and the factory operators were seriously insufficient, Cui Yang shouldered the heavy burden of shipment and did not leave the factory or go home.

"One person completed the work of a team." That's what everyone said about Cui Yang. In the morning, Cui Yang carried out communication work such as transportation capacity coordination, reporting for approval, handling of passes, and coordination with the manufacturer. In the afternoon, Cui Yang carried out vehicle inspection, vehicle inspection, vehicle formalities, and other operations. The main engine plants were short of vehicle preparation and moving personnel due to the pandemic situation. Cui Yang also assists the main engine plants in moving and preparing vehicles after completing the daily shipment task of China Capital Star Logistics. More than 200 pieces of vehicles were operated every day. Cui Yang worked for more than ten hours, and even worked all night when busy. After nearly a month of continuous hard work, the stable operation of Daqing Volvo project during the closure period was effectively guaranteed.

As of the press release, the completion rate of the whole vehicle shipment plan during the closed transportation period of the China Capital Star Logistics Daqing Volvo project reached 100%, successfully completing the customer's production assurance task in the pandemic situation.
